A 61-auditor panel was formed by the Dhaka Stock Exchange for auditing financial statements of the DSE trading right entitlement certificate holders.
DSE officials stated that the DSE has formed the panel to ensure transparency in financial statements.
The officials have stated that many TREC holders audited their accounts by unfamiliar auditors, which lacked trustworthiness.
They additionally stated that the brokerage houses must audit their reports with the auditors on the list.
DSE officials have stated that the DSE had to form the panel as the bourse found different anomalies in the operation and accounts of a number of brokerage houses in recent times, however, the anomalies were not reflected in their audited statements.
