Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) have freezed thirty-one Facebook pages for their alleged involvement in spreading rumours on the stock market. According to the recommendation of the investigation team, the regulator has taken the step.
BSEC announced this after a meeting with the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission. The rumores hampered the momentum and the image of the capital market, stated the commissioner of BSEC Shaikh Shamsuddin Ahmed.
