Dhaka got USD 6.61 billion in loans and USD 180.81 million in grants in the current fiscal so far, said a senior ERD official.
The external development financiers ensured to have USD 5.43 billion in the July-March period of FY’22, up USD 1.42 billion from the corresponding period in FY’21.
Of the commitment, they confirmed USD 5.26 billion in loans and $166.37 million in grants. Bangladesh’s debt servicing curtailed during the July-March period as the country paid USD 1.59 billion. Out of the repayment amount, USD 1.18 billion was spent as principal amount and USD 411.65 million as interest for the outstanding loans.
