On Sunday, the Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Crime Reporters Association (CRAB) paid a courtesy call on Sayem Sobhan Anvir, Managing Director of the Bashundhara Group, in the capital’s Bashundhara Residential Area.
The CRAB leaders, led by CRAB President Mirza Mehedi Tamal, made the Bashundhara Group MD a courtesy call. According to a statement, members of the CRAB Advisory Council were present at the time. On behalf of the executive committee, CRAB General Secretary Asaduzzaman Biku expressed the organization’s expectations during the meeting.
Bashundhara Group’s Managing Director listened intently to their expectations. Shankar Kumar Dey, CRAB’s Chief Adviser, as well as Khairuzzaman Kamal, SM Abul Hossain, Parvez Khan, Madhusudan Mandal, and Fakhrul Alam Kanchan, spoke.
He stated that CRAB would be given a permanent office as soon as feasible. He also committed to giving the family Tk 3 lakh in the event of a CRAB member’s death, and a minimum of Tk 50,000 in the event of a CRAB member becoming extremely ill or injured while doing professional tasks.
The call was attended by CRAB vice-president Muhammad Jahangir Alam, joint secretary Imran Hossain Sumon, finance secretary Saiful Islam Montu, organizing secretary Ataur Rahman, office secretary Ismail Hussain Emu, publicity and publication secretary Rudra Russell, sports and cultural secretary SM Mintu Hossain, international secretary Shaheen Alam, executive members Sirajul Islam and Mohammad Zakaria, and former general secretary Dipu Sarwar.
