Abul Kashem Md Shirin has recently been re-appointed managing director and CEO of Dutch-Bangla Bank for the next three years with effect from November 1.
Shirin has been in office for three years and has served as deputy managing director for around eight years. He was previously the deputy general manager and head of IT of BASIC Bank.
Shirin has been serving the bank as the managing director and CEO for the past three years while he was the deputy managing director for around eight years.
He has also served the bank in the past as executive vice-president and head of the information technology division for six years.
Before joining Dutch-Bangla Bank, he was a deputy general manager and head of IT of BASIC Bank.
Shirin has completed academic degrees from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok.
