The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has inoculated 120 school children aged between 12 and 17 with the Pfizer vaccine.
In this vaccination campaign, 50 students were from Government High School and SK Government Girls High School. 10 of them were from Jatir Janak Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman High School of Sadar upazila and Garpara Zahid Maleque High School.
After they were inoculated, all of the students were kept under close observation. The health officials stated that students will be kept under close observation from 7 to 14 days. If the campaign proves to be successful then it will be expanded to 20 districts to inoculate 30 lakh school children.
The health minister stated that half the population will be inoculated by January next year.
