Evaly, the controversial e-commerce platform, owes liabilities of Tk 205.86 crore to its merchants, as it stated in reply to queries sought previously by the Ministry of Commerce.
In addition to that, the company stated that it would clear the consumer liabilities of Tk 311 crore via regular business and drawing investments by 5 months.
The platform assured of paying back its merchants and consumers by allowing the company to realise 20 per cent profit from sales.
Previously, a Bangladesh Bank report claimed that the total liability was Tk 407.18 crore against Tk 65.17 crore assets as of March 14.
The firm on August 19 informed that its total liability was at Tk 543 crore as of mid-July.
It illustrated Tk 105 crore as tangible assets and Tk 438 crore in intangible assets, including a brand value of Tk 422 crore.
The platform owed around Tk 311 crore to 2.8 lakh customers.
