300% dividend approved by Unilever Consumer Care

Unilever Consumer Care Limited recently held its 50th annual general meeting (AGM) where shareholders approved various reports and accounts. The Directors’ Report, Auditor’s Report, and Audited Accounts for the year ending on December 31, 2022, were all endorsed. During the AGM, it was announced that a final dividend of 300% would be distributed to shareholders. This dividend consists of 240% cash dividend (Tk 24.00 per share of Tk 10 each) and 60% stock dividend (1:0.60 bonus share).

Although Unilever Consumer Care experienced a 1.1% decline in revenue last year, the gross profit saw a growth of 1.4%. The chairman of Unilever Consumer Care, highlighted the company’s strategic efforts in 2022. These efforts focused on ensuring product accessibility and affordability through innovative sales channels, awareness initiatives, and pricing strategies. Despite challenges in global food and energy supply chains, the company demonstrated resilience and successfully navigated through obstacles.
