Amazon Web Services (AWS) has partnered with Daffodil International Professional Training Institute (DIPTI) to train young IT enthusiasts in Bangladesh, aiming to create 50,000 AWS experts. The collaboration kicked off with the Amazon Web Services Cloud Day 2023 event, jointly organized by Daffodil International University (DIU) and DIPTI, featuring the guidance of 10 AWS experts. Due to the overwhelming response and demand, the authorities plan to make the event an annual occurrence, with another program scheduled later this year for those who couldn’t participate. The initiative by Daffodil aims to create job opportunities and integrate AWS into Bangladesh’s education system. DIPTI, supported by Daffodil International University, will conduct AWS training in the country, while five polytechnic institutes under the Daffodil Education Network will acquire AWS Academy status to prepare students for industry-recognized certifications and cloud-related careers. AWS has set an ambitious goal of producing 700,000 skilled technology professionals in the coming years, working together with DIPTI to address the digital skills gap and promote economic growth and innovation in Bangladesh.
