AUW Launches Summer School in Partnership with Chevron

Asian University for Women (AUW) has commenced its Summer School program for 2023 with the support of Chevron. The inauguration ceremony, held at the AUW campus in Chattogram, was attended by guests, students, parents, journalists, and Chevron Bangladesh representatives. The program aims to enhance the skills and competencies of 70 talented female high school students across Bangladesh in subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Coding, and Public Health. The collaboration between AUW and Chevron was highly praised by Chevron Bangladesh representatives, who expressed their enthusiasm for supporting the students’ pursuit of STEM careers.

In December 2023,  the price of 12kg liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders increased to Tk 23, now set at Tk1,404. LPG (autogas) for vehicles rises to Tk64.43 per kg from Tk63.36. Government-supplied LPG remains unchanged. The hike, unrelated to global LPG prices, is attributed to the Taka's depreciation against the dollar.
