Bangladesh and Japan are set to hold a business-to-business (B2B) match-making event from May 22 to May 26 in three key Japanese cities to enhance bilateral trade and investment. The Japan-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (JBCCI) and Haison International Limited will organize the event, with support from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) ITPO Tokyo. The event aims to attract Japanese investors to Bangladesh, which is increasingly viewed as an investment-friendly country due to factors such as its strategic location, large consumer market, and infrastructure development. Fourteen Bangladeshi companies from various sectors will participate, seeking business collaborations with Japanese counterparts. The event will feature B2B meetings and presentations on investment opportunities in Bangladesh. The total bilateral trade between the two countries reached $3.79 billion in the last fiscal year.
