Eastland Insurance Reports 5.5% Profit Growth

Eastland Insurance Company Ltd has reported a profit of Tk 3.1 crore in the first quarter of 2023. This represents a growth of approximately 5.5% compared to last year’s period when the company recorded a profit of Tk 2.94 crore. The unaudited financial statements reveal that the earnings per share have increased to Tk 0.37 in January-March 2023 from Tk 0.35 in the corresponding period of 2022.

Furthermore, Eastland Insurance has experienced an improvement in net operating cash flow per share, which rose to Tk 0.16 in January-March 2023, compared to Tk 0.14 in the previous year. The net asset value per share has also shown growth, reaching Tk 21.56 on March 31 this year, up from Tk 21.19 on the same day last year.
