Govt Announces Tk 2.32B Aid for Victims of July Uprising

The government has allocated Tk 2.32 billion for the rehabilitation of victims of the July uprising, as announced by Disaster Management and Relief Adviser Faruk-E-Azam. Families of the deceased will receive Tk 1 million in savings certificates, while injured victims will be compensated with Tk 300,000, Tk 200,000, or Tk 100,000, depending on the severity of their injuries. The Finance Ministry has approved the allocation, and a policy is being developed to provide ongoing medical treatment and support to the victims’ families. This announcement follows demonstrations by injured victims on Mirpur road in Dhaka.
