Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Ltd on Tuesday provided educational supplies to the children of Korail area at an event organised at the T & T Adorsho Girls High School premises in the capital.
Huawei has also provided tabs to the school in order to introduce digital teaching method to the girls.
Deputy Minister for Education Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury was present as chief guest at the programme.
Li Jiming, ambassador of China to Bangladesh was present as special guest. Zhang Zhengjun, CEO of Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Ltd, and Sultana Ferdowsi Khan, principal of T & T Adorsho Girls High School, were also present at the event.
Huawei, along with its technology business, has also devoted itself in many activities especially in four aspects, namely bridging the digital divide, promoting environmental protection, supporting stable and secure network operations and also supporting local communities.
The Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) CEO said it has been 20 years of exploration that Huawei has been growing with Bangladesh. During the 20 years, they have seen rapid development of Bangladesh and now the country has a vision to make the country digitalized by 2021.
Huawei wants to be a part of this journey and encourage the students who are pursuing education for the betterment of their lives and the society, said Zhengjun.
Zhengjun also said Huawei has been working closely with the industry partners to bring technical benefits to the people in Bangladesh. “For talent development of Bangladesh Huawei has been organising the global flagship CSR ‘Seeds for the future’ for the last five years. Also for women empowerment Huawei has been running ICT bus with the help of few of their partners.”
