In celebration of Bangamata’s 92nd anniversary, the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division’s iDEA Project gave grants totaling Tk 12.5 million to 250 female entrepreneurs throughout the country, according to BSS. The state minister for the ICT division, gave each entrepreneur a one-time reward of Tk 50,000 at a celebration at the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) office.
To commemorate the birth anniversary of Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib, the funds were distributed by the BCC’s Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Academy (iDEA) project. On August 8 of each year, 1000 “Bangamata Indomitable Entrepreneurs” will receive grants, according to the state minister, who also added that the ICT Division will make every effort to give women entrepreneurs access to training, co-working space, and start-up capital in order to achieve the goal of 50% female entrepreneurs by 2041 and realize the “Smart Bangladesh” vision.
