IDLC Finance Limited has given the Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust 5% of its total corporate social responsibility (CSR) budget for 2022.
IDLC said in a press release today that the company handed over a Tk18 lakh cheque to the trust on June 1. Underprivileged students receive merit-based scholarships from the trust, which is part of the education ministry. The Trust is managed by an advisory council led by the Prime Minister. IDLC has always taken an active role in attempting to assist and improve the situation of the country’s underprivileged meritorious students, according to M Jamal Uddin, chief executive officer and managing director of IDLC.
