Prior to Ramadan, The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh would purchase 8,000 tonnes of lentils and 1.1 crore liters of soybean oil. Muslims’ fasting month is expected to start in late March. Lentils would now cost Tk 92.46 per kilogram, down from Tk 101.97 when purchased. Additionally, the TCB will buy the soybean oil directly from the local provider, Shun Shing Edible Oil, for Tk 182 per liter.
