JAAGO Foundation, a non-profit organization, has partnered with The Asia Foundation to promote the Let’s Read app, a free digital library created by the latter to make reading fun and easy, in 64 districts of Bangladesh.
JAAGO Foundation and The Asia Foundation have signed an agreement to launch a seven-day #LetsReadTogether reading campaign across the country. The week-long campaign began on April 22 as part of Unesco World Book Day. The campaign will include door-to-door awareness programs designed to educate parents about the importance of reading and encourage them to encourage their children to read more. This campaign is expected to reach a total of 16,000 parents and 16,000 children.
Every year on April 23, Unesco commemorates World Book Day to pay tribute to the world of literature and to promote the benefits and pleasure of reading books.
