International fast food restaurant chain Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) was fined Tk four lakh by a mobile court of Bangladesh Safe Food Authority (BSFA) recently for storing stale chicken at its Bailey Road outlet in the capital. A mobile court led by BFSA Executive Magistrate Hosne Aara Popy imposed the fine after it found 18kg stale chicken at the KFC outlet.
BFSA said that the court found 10 packets of date-expired chickens each weighing 1.8kg at the KFC outlet. KFC authorities were warned over such a criminal act.
