Mohammed Mahtabur Rahman has been re-elected as the chairman of NRB Bank. Mahtabur is currently the chairman and managing director of Al Haramain Perfumes Group of Companies, chairman of Al Haramain Tea Co and Al Haramain Hospital Pvt in Bangladesh.
He is also the trustee of the University of Asia Pacific and Beani Bazar Cancer Hospital in Bangladesh.
Mahtabur has recently been awarded the UAE ‘Gold Card’ residency visa by the government of UAE. He was ranked commercially important person (CIP) for five consecutive years in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 by the Bangladesh government and also awarded the ‘Bangladesh Bank Remittance Award’ consecutively for five years.
