Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB) and SME Foundation have inked an agreement jointly to disburse stimulus loan packages arranged by the Government of Bangladesh.
Dr Md Mafizur Rahman, Managing Director of SME Foundation and Syed Mahbubur Rahman, CEO of Mutual Trust Bank signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organization.
The fund will be disbursed at a 4 per cent interest rate to Rural & Marginal Micro, Small and Medium entrepreneurs. It’s target group is marginalized people of rural areas of Bangladesh.
They will work to provide them a quality life as the poors and destitutes can recover from the loss incurred due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Professor Dr Md. Masudur Rahman, Chairperson, SME Foundation presided over the event.
M A Mannan, MP, Minister, Ministry of Planning of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh attended the event as the chief guest while Kamal Ahmed Mojumder, MP, State Minister, Ministry of Industries; Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP, State Minister, Ministry of ICT and Zakia Sultana, Secretary, Ministry of Industries were also present as special guests.
MTB is among the 15 (fifteen) banks that are participating under this stimulus package of SME Foundation for Micro, Small and Medium enterprises.
