Prime Minister’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy yesterday inaugurated ‘Nagad account in one minute’ service connecting ‘Porichoy’ app with Bangladesh Post Office’s mobile financial service Nagad.
The service has been opened in order to make financial service quicker and safer for the people across the country through connecting Nagad, a digital financial service provided by Bangladesh Post Office, with another new mobile apps “Porichoy” for getting the account service in a minute.
Earlier, it took five days for verification of national ID of any mobile account which is now possible just in one minute using ‘Porichoy’ app. But now it will take just one minute for verifying any NID to identify any particular person for installing the service.
Posts and Telecommunications Division Minister Mustafa Jabbar, secretary Ashoke Kumar Biswas and Nagad’s managing director Tanvir Mishuk were, among others, present.
Nagad is a venture by the Bangladesh Post Office that facilitates the day-to-day financial transaction needs of the people. Nagad is operated by Third Wave Technologies Limited (TWTL).
