NRB Bank Ltd has inked an agreement with Bangladesh Bank for collecting treasury challan through Automated Challan System (ACS).
Under this agreement, all the branches of NRB Bank will collect passport fees, value-added tax, corporate and personal income tax and other government fees.
The agreement was signed by Ahmed Jamal, deputy governor of Bangladesh Bank; Mamoon Mahmood Shah, managing director and CEO of NRB Bank Limited, and Forkan Hossain, general manager of Bangladesh Bank.
NurunNahar, executive director of Bangladesh Bank; Md Shakir Amin Chowdhury, deputy managing director; Oli Ahad Chowdhury, EVP head of retail banking; Sarfuddin Md Redwan Patwary SAVP, head of operations of NRB Bank along with other executives from both organizations were present in the signing ceremony.
The system will be able to collect 196 types of revenues and fees, including VAT, land registration and car registration fees.
