Padmabati, a specialised woman banking product, has been launched by Padma Bank, which will enable the women of the country to debit money from any automated teller machine free of charge across the nation.
On top of that, a media statement on 7th of March stated that the women will also receive many other special benefits and discounts using newly launched banking products. The newly established service will be available through 58 branches of the bank across the country. Women entrepreneurs, salaried professionals, home makers and students are all eligible to enjoy the features of Padmabati. The customers will have the luxuries of having a free debit card, a free Privilege Discount Card and a free cheque book.
Other deposit products can be linked with this account through this account. Under this scheme, the bank will facilities related to loans with less processing fees. The media statement stated that a 50 per cent discount will be provided for locker service and there will be special discount on student file processing and specially, daily profit earnings.
This woman-centric specialised product was launched on Sunday at a city hotel on the eve of International Women’s Day. During the launching ceremony, Managing Director of Padma Bank Md Ehsan Khasru; Head of Business Zabed Amin; Head of Human Resources Division M Ahsan Ullah Khan, among others were present.
