According to the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics’ latest tentative estimate, Bangladesh’s per capita income will rise by USD 233 to USD 2,824 this fiscal year (BBS). It is also expected that the economy will expand by 7.25 percent in FY’22.
The ultimate growth rate for the fiscal year 2020-21 was 6.94 percent, compared to 3.45 percent in 2019-20.
However, Bangladesh’s GDP is expected to be 6.4 percent this fiscal year, according to the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, and 6.9 percent according to the Asian Development Bank. The administration set a growth target of 7.2 percent in the current year’s national budget.
