Robi’s profit declined due to the Forex crisis

Mustafa Jabbar, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, criticized the revenue board on Thursday for increasing VAT (value-added tax) on handset purchases from 5% to 15%.Mr Jabbar stated that the National Board of Revenue (NBR) should consider the impact of a handset on GDP rather than just the immediate revenue from a handset sale.

Mustafa Jabbar, the minister of posts and telecommunications, stated on Thursday that the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission should set standard prices for mobile internet bundles provided by the nation's mobile operators.
