On 6th of September, Mafizur Rahman, managing director of SME Foundation, and Tarique Amin Bhuiyan, managing director of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU).
SME of the country can now raise Tk5 crore to Tk30 crore capital from the stock market.
The SME sector contributes 60 per cent to India’s economy, about 70 per cent in China and Japan, but only 25 per cent in Bangladesh.
