Despite the fact that soybean oil is being sold at a fixed price determined by the government, market supply has yet to return to normal. Grocery store owners allege that they aren’t getting enough soybean oil from their suppliers. They believed, however, that the market supply will improve in the coming days.
Since the day before Eid, soybean oil has been unavailable on the market. Many people have gone home without any gasoline. This topic became national news later on.
On Monday, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi told a reporter that putting faith in edible oil traders was a mistake. They have broken their promises. Due to the weekly market holiday, most shops in Karwan Bazaar were closed on Tuesday, however one or two remained open but were out of edible oil.
