Chowdhury Manzoor Liaquat has recently been appointed managing director and chief executive officer of non-bank financial institution Union Capital Ltd. He had previously been serving as additional and acting managing director of the company.
Before joining Union Capital, Liaquat served as the senior executive vice-president of Bank Asia. He started his professional career as a probationary officer with AB Bank and later went to become the principal branch manager and regional relationship manager of Dhaka division of the bank.
He has more than 23 years of experiences in the banking sector.
He earned his post-graduation degree in international relations from the University of Dhaka.
