The Bangladeshi multinational electronics brand Walton got ‘Manufacturing Achievement Award’ for its outstanding contribution to turning the country ‘Digital Bangladesh’ through producing different types of digital devices within the country.
Walton received the award at the ‘Award Night’ and the concluding ceremony of the three-day long ‘Digital Device and Innovation Expo 2019’ at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital on Wednesday.
Walton Group’s executive directors S M Zahid Hasan and Tapash Kumar Mojumder, Operative Director Tawfiq-Ul-Quader and Deputy Director Syed Md. Roble Islam received the crests of ‘Manufacturing Achievement Award’ and ‘Best Pavilion Award.’
State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak presided over the function award-giving ceremony while Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi was present as the chief guest.
Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Posts, Telecommunications and IT Affairs AKM Rahmatullah and Senior Secretary of Information and Communication Technology Division NM Zeaul Alam also attended the function as special guests.
