Government-owned banks and non-bank financial institutions showcased 25 innovative initiatives aimed at enhancing financial services for customers. Chaired by the Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division, the event at the Bangladesh Secretariat emphasized the importance of smart financial services. The State Minister for Finance urged a commitment to providing innovative services to customers. Highlighted initiatives included Bangladesh Bank’s ‘e-performance management system’, Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission’s ‘Customer complaint address module’, and Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority’s ‘bima tottho’ mobile app. Other innovations featured e-payment systems, digital training platforms, telemedicine services, and various banking solutions such as e-wallets, online account opening, loan systems, remittance services, and smart home loans.
