Rupali Bank’s net profit surged by 29% in the January-March quarter of this year compared to the previous year, as per the bank’s latest financial statement. During this period, its earnings per share rose to Tk0.49 from Tk0.38 a year ago, while its net asset value per share stood at Tk36.07 at the end of March.
Despite not paying dividends for 2022 and 2023, Rupali Bank’s consolidated earnings per share increased to Tk1.35 by the end of December 2023, compared to Tk0.61 in 2022. In March, the bank received approval from the finance ministry to issue ordinary shares worth Tk700 crore, priced at Tk15 each, subject to approval from the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission.
