Robi Axiata, the second-largest telecom operator in Bangladesh, will be upgraded to the “A” category from “B” on the Dhaka Stock Exchange starting 26th June. This change follows the company’s announcement of a 10% cash dividend for 2023, its highest ever, representing 165.6% of its profit after tax for the year.
Robi reported total revenue of Tk 9,942 crore for 2023, including Tk 2,511.2 crore in the fourth quarter. The company achieved a net profit of Tk 321 crore for the year, with a profit after tax of Tk 148.6 crore in Q4. This marks a 15.8% increase in earnings compared to 2022. Revenue in Q4 2023 rose by 11.4% compared to Q4 2022, with voice revenue up by 9% and data services revenue increasing by 28.2% year-over-year.
