Irish Aid has allocated €148,170 through Plan International to assist victims of Cyclone Remal in Bangladesh. The cyclone severely affected 4.6 million people, with millions facing food insecurity, water shortages, and other challenges. The project, running from July to November 2024, will focus on providing Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) services to 3,440 individuals from 800 households in Bhola and Barguna districts. This initiative aims to restore access to safe drinking water, sanitation facilities, and distribute hygiene supplies. Irish Aid’s support is part of its broader Civil Society Partnership initiative, reflecting Ireland’s commitment to global humanitarian assistance and sustainable development goals.
