Agrani Bank’s managing director denied claims of server hacking, stating that while some officials’ personal information was compromised, the bank’s main server remained secure. Allegedly, a hacker group named ‘Kill Security’ accessed over 12,000 pieces of data, demanding a ransom of 5,000 euros. When payment wasn’t received, they leaked the information on the dark web. Bank sources confirmed only minor breaches involving employee email IDs, with no critical server compromises reported. Initially, server slowness was attributed to ongoing IT vendor negotiations, not security breaches. Despite internal scrutiny of irregular software purchases and changes in IT leadership, the bank maintains its servers are now fortified and secure, with enhanced security measures implemented.
