PRAN-RFL Wins 7 National Export Trophies

Marico Bangladesh reported a 28% year-on-year profit growth in FY2024-25, reaching Tk 590.6 crore, driven by a 12% increase in revenue to Tk 1,630.93 crore and higher net finance income. The company’s earnings per share (EPS) rose to Tk 187.49 from Tk 146.23 in the previous year.

Reckitt Benckiser (Bangladesh) announced a record 3,330% cash dividend (Tk 333 per share) for 2024, despite an 8% decline in annual profit, which stood at Tk 75.20 crore. This drop in profit was accompanied by a decrease in earnings per share, falling from Tk 173.65 in 2023 to Tk 159.17.

PRAN-RFL Group is investing Tk200 crore in a 100% export-oriented plastic factory in Gazipur, set to start operations by June. The facility aims to generate Tk450 crore in annual exports, create 2,500 jobs, and expand PRAN-RFL’s reach in Europe, the US, and North America.

The Bangladesh Agro Processors Association (BAPA) aims to double its export earnings to $2 billion in 2025, up from nearly $1 billion in FY 2023-24. The announcement was made at the "10th BAPA-Foodpro International Expo 2025," featuring over 200 companies from 22 countries, including the USA, India, China, Italy, and Australia.

Bangladeshi food manufacturers secured $34.5 million in confirmed orders at the Gulf Food Fair in Dubai, with an additional $29.1 million in potential export discussions. PRAN Group led with $5 million in orders and a $2 million export discussion, including its first orders from Syria and Russia.

Olympic Industries Ltd has decided to acquire 273 decimals of land worth Tk 17.03 crore in Sonargaon, Narayanganj, for expansion. The land includes 84 decimals behind its Lolati factory for Tk 3.36 crore, 118.71 decimals for Tk 11 crore, 35 decimals for Tk 1.4 crore, and 18.17 decimals for Tk 72.68 lakh, all priced at Tk 4 lakh per decimal.
