Due to the anti-discrimination student movement and curfew impositions, the national transportation system for goods was disrupted, causing price increases for daily commodities. However, the supply system has resumed over the past few days, leading to a decrease in prices for fish, chicken, vegetables, and eggs. Farm eggs, which previously cost Tk 170 per dozen, are now priced at Tk 155-160. Broiler chicken prices have fallen from Tk 200-210 per kg to Tk 170-180, and golden chicken is now Tk 280-300 per kg, down by Tk 20-30. Fish prices have decreased by Tk 30-50 per kg, with pangas and tilapia now priced at Tk 180-200 and Tk 220-240 per kg, respectively. Green chillies, once at Tk 400 per kg, are now Tk 200-240, and eggplant prices have dropped to Tk 50-80 per kg from Tk 80-120. Other vegetables have also seen price reductions. The market has stabilized, with goods from outside Dhaka arriving since Tuesday, helping to lower prices across various markets.
