Humaira Azam, a banker with 34 years of experience, has been appointed as the CEO of LankaBangla Finance. Azam, who was the first female managing director at Trust Bank Limited and IPDC Finance plc, has also been recognized as a top-tier leader in leadership programs at Oxford and INSEAD. She graduated with a degree in International Relations from the University of Dhaka and began her career as a management trainee at ANZ Grindlays Bank.
Throughout her career, Azam has held significant positions at HSBC Bangladesh, Standard Chartered Bank, and IPDC Finance plc. In her most recent role as the Managing Director of Trust Bank, she led the bank to achieve notable milestones, including becoming a principal member of VISA, earning accolades for its Islamic banking services, and driving substantial growth in operating profit and foreign remittance collection.
