The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) has reconciled the export data from the last fiscal year, addressing discrepancies between EPB’s figures and the ASYCUDA data from the National Board of Revenue.Â
The Finance Adviser confirmed that ASYCUDA data will now be the primary source for export figures. He stated that the export target for the current fiscal year will be revealed after approval from the EPB board. He also noted that the data mismatch is not expected to impact GDP calculations, which are based on production in 19 sectors. The finance adviser also mentioned that if necessary, the fiscal budget might be revised, with plans to cut unnecessary expenditures and rationalize spending.
