Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC has contributed Tk 1.50 crore as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program to support flood-affected areas in Bangladesh. The donation will be directed to the Chief Adviser’s Relief and Welfare Fund to aid people in districts such as Feni, Noakhali, Chittagong, and Cumilla. Md Abul Bashar, the bank’s company secretary, presented the cheque to Faruk E Azam, adviser to the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, at the Bangladesh Secretariat in Dhaka. Senior officials from both the bank and the ministry were present at the event.
