City Bank PLC has signed an agreement with Probashi Kallyan Bank (PKB) to facilitate remittances from Bangladeshi nationals working abroad. The deal, finalized at the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment in Dhaka, enables workers who have borrowed from PKB to send their remittances using City Bank’s services and withdraw cash from PKB branches. This arrangement simplifies the process for loan installment payments to PKB. In the second phase of the initiative, workers will be able to send remittances directly to PKB through City Bank’s partner exchange companies located internationally. The partnership aims to enhance financial convenience for expatriate workers and streamline remittance services.
