Chinese Company to Invest $4 Million in Cumila EPZ

Chinese company Tianhui Button (BD) Limited is set to establish a garment accessories manufacturing facility in Cumilla Export Processing Zone (EPZ), with an investment of $4 million. The company plans to produce 700 million pieces of various types of buttons, including plastic, resin, ABS, metal buttons, and PU leather accessories. This investment is expected to create employment opportunities for 139 Bangladeshi nationals.

An agreement was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and Tianhui Button (BD) Limited at the BEPZA Complex. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of BEPZA’s Executive Chairman. Other senior officials from BEPZA, along with representatives of Tianhui Button (BD), also attended the event. This new venture is part of BEPZA’s ongoing efforts to attract foreign investment and boost the country’s export-oriented industries, enhancing the garment sector’s capacity to produce essential accessories locally.
