Peter D Haas Takes on Strategic Role at Excelerate Energy

Peter D Haas, former US ambassador to Bangladesh, has joined Excelerate Energy as a strategic advisor. Excelerate operates a floating regasification unit that processes about 50% of Bangladesh’s liquified natural gas (LNG) imports. Haas, who retired from the US Foreign Service after 33 years, will work from the company’s Washington, DC office. Excelerate’s president, Steven Kobos, praised Haas for his geopolitical and commercial expertise, which is expected to bolster the company’s global energy security efforts. Excelerate’s unit currently supplies 600 million cubic feet of gas daily to Bangladesh.

Excelerate Energy Commits to Further Investment in Bangladesh
