A total of 410 tonnes of hilsa fish have been exported to India through Benapole land port in seven consignments. The exports occurred over several days, with quantities ranging from 19 to 92 tonnes per shipment. The export price is set at $10 per kg, approximately Tk 1,180, based on a long-standing order established years ago. Mahbubur Rahman from the Fisheries Inspection and Quality Control Center noted that while the price is lower than current market rates, adjustments may be considered in the future. Rashedul Sajib Nazir, Deputy Director of Benapole Land Port, confirmed the total export figure and mentioned that all shipments must be completed by October 12, as directed by the Ministry of Commerce.
