The second amendment to a project for displaced Rohingya people is set for approval at the ECNEC meeting on November 25, according to the Planning Commission. Funded by the World Bank, the project focuses on engaging vulnerable youth and women in productive work within refugee camps to enhance basic services, social stability, and awareness. The project, which began with an agreement in 2018, has received total funding of 595 crore BDT. Due to challenges like labor shortages and rising costs, the budget is proposed to increase by 99 crore BDT. The revised plan includes new initiatives like community services, infrastructure projects, and social awareness campaigns to improve conditions in the camps.
