Bangladesh exported 84 tonnes of potatoes to Nepal over two days via the Banglabandha land port in Panchagarh. Shipments of 42 tonnes each were sent on Sunday and Monday at $152 per tonne, marking the start of this season’s exports. The potatoes, sourced from Thakurgaon, were delivered to Kakarbhitta, Nepal. Banglabandha primarily imports stone (95%) from India and Bhutan, alongside other items like ginger, onions, and tea-processing machinery. Bangladesh exports products such as raw jute, cotton rags, food items, and tissue paper to India and Nepal through this port.
