The 10th International Food Safety Forum, organized by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Bangladesh in partnership with the Bangladesh Food Safety Authority, aims to enhance food security and promote sustainable practices in agribusiness. The forum brings together key stakeholders, industry leaders, and decision-makers to address challenges related to food security, nutrition, and food waste. Through the adoption of IFC’s food safety practices, agribusinesses can strategize to make food safer, more nutritious, and resilient.
The conference, attended by 300 delegates from 43 countries, including policymakers, food producers, retailers, logistics providers, and consumer organizations, focuses on the theme of “Keeping Food Safe and Nutritious, Preventing Losses.” By prioritizing food security and improving food quality, Bangladesh aims to improve its global rankings and mitigate climate change risks. The International Food Safety Forum strives to contribute to a safer, more nutritious, and sustainable food system for Bangladesh and the region, fostering positive change in the agribusiness sector.
