UCEP Bangladesh and Standard Chartered have partnered to launch an entrepreneurship development initiative aimed at empowering 2,000 vulnerable youths with employable skills and entrepreneurship training. The program, called “Giving Wings to Dreams for Youth Empowerment Programme,” will be implemented in the Gazipur district from May 2023 to April 2025, with a focus on creating sustainable change within the local community. The initiative was inaugurated by the state minister for youth and sports, at the UCEP TVET Institute in Gazipur.
The collaboration will provide skills training, mid-level management, and entrepreneurship development opportunities to the beneficiaries, prioritizing inclusivity with 50% female representation and 2% representation of persons with disabilities. By equipping underprivileged youth and adults with essential skills, the project aims to improve their socio-economic status and contribute to the overall growth of Bangladesh. The partnership between UCEP Bangladesh and Standard Chartered has already had a significant impact on uplifting underprivileged youth and communities in Bangladesh, promoting skills-based education, and fostering socio-economic development.
