The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) sanctioned multiple procurement proposals to address the country’s growing demand. These proposals encompass soybean oil, MOP fertilizer, lentils, and power procurement for solar plants. The Directorate General of Food is set to secure 1.60 crore liters of soybean oil, while the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) will acquire 1 lakh metric tons of MOP fertilizer. The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) is planning to purchase 8,000 metric tons of lentils and 80 lakh liters of soybean oil. Additionally, extensions for existing power plants were approved, reflecting the government’s efforts to address rising demand across various sectors.
