Korean investors have shown interest in developing the “Uttara Multipurpose Bus Terminal Building” for inter-district buses and contributing around Tk1,000 crore to a hydro eco-park project near the Kallyanpur retention pond in Dhaka. This initiative aims to prevent waterlogging and flooding in the area. The Dhaka North City Corporation plans to relocate the Mohakhali inter-district bus terminal to Uttara with an expected investment of about $50 million from Korean investors. The proposals were presented during the fifth Bangladesh-Korea Joint Public-Private Platform meeting. Additionally, Korean investors discussed plans for a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service and the development of a 120-megawatt solar power project in Pabna, among other projects with a combined estimated cost of $10.29 billion.
